Bima Swastika, Manager of Hyper Mega Shiping (HMS) Group, added that this move aims to add service points and provide wider and more stable logistics access for customers in the Southeast Asian region.
HMS, which is headquartered in Indonesia, wants to build a strategic collaboration with Vietnam because its long-term prospects are very favorable for Indonesia. Many investors from large companies built factories in Vietnam.
"HMS wants there to be a reciprocal economic relationship. The export and import value of Vietnam is very large, we want to import some of the factories and the raw materials are also from Indonesia. In addition, Vietnam's market share to the US is also large, HMS wants to develop its market share to the US through Vietnam," continued Bima.
Reef Man continued, for the second pillar of HMS's resolution this year, namely, strengthening Service Specialization: The Company will strengthen its competitive advantage in the Project Logistics, Air Freight, and LCL Export consolidation sectors. This focus is taken to create faster and more integrated global connectivity.
"Then the last one, namely Technology and AI investment: HMS's IT team is now integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the company's modernization process to provide a smarter, more transparent, and efficient logistics system," he explained.
Through this initiative, HMS is optimistic that it can overcome global trade barriers and provide the best service as promised to customers. "Let's make 2026 a glorious year of growth with the spirit of '1 Team, 1 Goal, 1 Mission'," concluded Reef Man.
