One Way, One Goal Despite Conflict in the Strait of Hormuz, HMS Strategic Focus and International Expansion for 2026
GlobalReview-Jakarta-Geopolitical tensions in the Middle East involving the United States, Israel, and Iran are beginning to hit the global logistics industry. This conflict disrupts strategic shipping lanes in the Strait of Hormuz and the Red Sea, which has an impact on rising transportation costs as well as extended shipping times.
The Strait of Hormuz is the lifeblood of international trade because it is passed through by more than a quarter of the world's oil supply. The closure or blocking of these routes automatically cuts off market access to Middle Eastern countries, which automatically also has an impact on logistics companies.
However, in the midst of international trade dynamics and changing global tariff policies, which are also influenced by the war in the Middle East, it is a challenge for logistics businesses. How can these challenges be transformed into sustainable growth opportunities?
It is Hyper Mega Shipping (HMS), a logistics company engaged in international trade that is committed to transforming these challenges into business opportunities and increasing the company's growth and development.
Related to this, HMS CEO, Reef Man said that his party is optimistic that it can overcome the global trade barriers and provide the best service as promised to customers.
"2026 is a crucial momentum to unite the company's vision and steps that focus on strengthening global connectivity and technological efficiency. Alignment of direction is the most important thing so that we can step more focused and consistent in facing market changes," said Reef Man on the sidelines of the Iftar with HMS which was attended by management, business partners and all staff.

In the moment of Iftar Together which was filled with tausiyah Ustadz Dennis Lim who delivered a tausiyah themed "Ramadan: Momentum to Become a Better Person with Integrity" Reef Man also said that the company officially announced the company's strategic direction for 2026.
As part of the 2026 resolution, HMS has set three key strategic focus pillars: The first is International Expansion into Vietnam—HMS will expand its operational reach by opening a new branch in Vietnam. This move aims to add service points and provide wider and more stable logistics access for customers in the Southeast Asian region.
"The second pillar is the Strengthening of Service Specialization – The Company will strengthen its competitive advantage in the Project Logistics, Air Freight, and LCL Export consolidation sectors. This focus is taken to create faster and more integrated global connectivity," explained Reef Man.
The third pillar said Reef Man is Technology and AI Investment: HMS's IT team is now integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the company's modernization process to deliver a smarter, more transparent, and efficient logistics system.
Through these three pillars of the initiative, Reff Man invites HMS personnel and all stakeholders in it to make the company grow in 2026 because it is in line with the spirit of self-development as conveyed by Ustadz Dennis Lim.
"Let's make 2026 a glorious year of growth with the spirit of '1 Team, 1 Goal, 1 Mission,'" concluded Reef Man.
