Set Three Pillars, HMS Focuses on International Expansion and Technology Transformation by 2026
TrenBisnis.co, Jakarta — Logistics company Hyper Mega Shipping (HMS) has set international expansion and technological transformation as a strategic focus in 2026. The commitment was announced in an iftar agenda with management, business partners, and employees in Jakarta, Tuesday (4/3/2026).
On this occasion, HMS Reef Man CEO emphasized that 2026 is a crucial momentum to unite the company's direction and steps amid global trade dynamics and changes in international tariff policies.
"Alignment of direction is the most important thing so that we can step more focused and consistent in dealing with market changes," he said in an official statement.
As part of the 2026 strategy, HMS sets out three main pillars.

First, international expansion into Vietnam
HMS will open a new branch in Vietnam to expand its operational reach and strengthen logistics connectivity in Southeast Asia. This step is expected to add service points and provide more stable access for regional customers.
Manager of HMS Group Bima Swastika said the expansion was based on the long-term prospects of Indonesia-Vietnam economic relations which are increasingly strategic.
"Vietnam is currently one of the manufacturing growth centers in the region. Many global investors are building production facilities in the country," said Bima.
According to him, HMS wants to build strategic collaboration with Vietnam, including encouraging more balanced trade relations between the two countries, especially in the raw material supply chain.
"HMS wants there to be a reciprocal economic relationship. The value of Vietnam's exports and imports is huge. We see an opportunity for raw materials for a number of factories in Vietnam to come from Indonesia," he said.
In addition, HMS is also aiming to develop the United States' market share through Vietnam, considering the large volume of the country's exports to the US market.
Second, strengthening service specialization
HMS will strengthen its competitive advantage in the Project Logistics, Air Freight, and LCL Export consolidation sectors. This focus is directed at creating faster and more integrated global connectivity.
Third, investment in technology and artificial intelligence (AI)
HMS's IT team began to integrate AI technology in the process of modernizing the company's logistics system. This initiative aims to bring smarter, more transparent, and efficient services to customers.
Through this initiative, management is optimistic that the strategy will be able to help companies adapt to geopolitical challenges and global trade barriers. "Let's make 2026 a glorious year of growth with the spirit of 1 Team, 1 Goal, 1 Mission," concluded Reef Man.
