Indonesia's Logistics Industry Predicted to Boom by 2025
JAKARTA, investor.id – The national logistics industry is predicted to continue to grow rapidly in 2025. This is driven by increasing investment and growth in the manufacturing sector.

CEO of Hyper Mega Shipping (HMS) Group, Reef Man, stated that the prospects for the logistics business remain bright. Indonesia remains an attractive market for investors, especially in the manufacturing sector. For example, in Kendal, Central Java, labor competition is quite competitive, making it attractive for new investment.
“This condition has a positive impact on the logistics industry, as it increases the movement of goods from outside to inside the country and vice versa. In addition, the United States (US) market is also predicted to remain promising for the global logistics industry,” she said in a press statement on Thursday (13/3/2025).

With these various opportunities, Reef is optimistic that HMS can continue to grow and make a significant contribution to the national economy. Not only that, HMS Group has prepared a strategy based on innovation, connection, and empowerment.

According to him, with a combination of sector growth, increased investment, and adaptive strategies from logistics companies, this industry is predicted to remain one of the main pillars in Indonesia's economic growth in 2025.
Meanwhile, based on data from Supply Chain Indonesia (SCI), the national transportation and warehousing sub-sector is expected to grow by 12.53% in 2025. This figure has jumped compared to the 2024 growth which is projected to reach 9.52%.

Founder & CEO of SCI Setijadi revealed that the transportation and warehousing sector continues to grow above the average economic growth rate of Indonesia. “This sector grew by 19.87% in 2022, then 13.96% in 2023, and is projected to be around 9.52% in 2024. Meanwhile, Indonesia's GDP grew by 5.31% in 2022 and 5.05% in 2023,” he explained.
To encourage the growth of the national logistics industry, SCI emphasizes the importance of improving human resource competency, optimizing processes and technology, and strengthening the network and collaboration of logistics service providers.
