HMS Group CEO, Reef Man, revealed the company's main theme for this year, Global Empowerment Through Connectivity: Innovate, Connect, and Empower.

“In an ever-evolving world, HMS believes that collaboration and connectivity are key to success. Therefore, we continue to develop technology and improve business processes to provide more efficient and sustainable services to our customers,” said Reef Man, Wednesday (12/3/2025).
As a global logistics company, HMS is targeting the strengthening of its international network to create a more integrated logistics ecosystem. With broader connectivity, HMS hopes to improve supply chain efficiency and provide strategic benefits to its business partners.
Not only focusing on business aspects, HMS also has a mission to empower communities and individuals in the logistics industry. With human resource development programs and technological support, the company strives to create a competitive workforce and contribute to the overall growth of the logistics sector.
Reef Man is optimistic about facing the challenges of the logistics industry in 2025. He assesses that business prospects are still very promising, especially with the increasingly rapid growth of the manufacturing sector in Indonesia.
“Indonesia remains an attractive market for investors, especially in the manufacturing sector. For example, in Kendal, Central Java, a competitive workforce is a draw for new investment, which certainly has a positive impact on the logistics sector by increasing the movement of goods, both from abroad to the country and vice versa,” he explained.
In addition to the domestic market, HMS also sees great opportunities in the United States and Europe. The company already has an extensive network covering almost the entire world and plans to further strengthen its presence in Europe and forge strategic partnerships in Asia.
“With innovative steps, network expansion, and the right empowerment of human resources, HMS is optimistic that it can continue to grow and make a significant contribution to the national economy,” added Reef Man.
Based on a report by Supply Chain Indonesia (SCI), the national transportation and warehousing sub-sector is projected to grow by 12.53 percent in 2025, increasing from the 2024 growth which is estimated to reach 9.52 percent. Meanwhile, data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) shows that this sector grew by 19.87 percent in 2022, 13.96 percent in 2023, and is projected to grow by 9.52 percent in 2024—all above the average national economic growth.
To support this growth, SCI highlights the importance of improving human resource competencies, optimizing business processes, adopting technology, and strengthening networking and collaboration among logistics service providers.
One of HMS's main focuses this year is innovation in technology-based logistics services. The company is currently developing an Electronic Delivery Order (EDO) system to improve delivery efficiency.
“EDO was first introduced one to two years ago for imports, and now we are developing it for exports. This type of digitalization is expected to accelerate and simplify the delivery process for our customers,” said Reef Man.
This technology not only improves operational efficiency but also provides better transparency in the supply chain, reduces administrative costs, and speeds up the processing time of shipping documents.
With a strategy focused on innovation, connectivity, and empowerment, HMS continues to strengthen its position as one of the leading players in the global logistics industry. The company is committed to providing more efficient logistics solutions, supporting the growth of partner businesses, and contributing to national and international economic development.
